Ryan Williams, Bakery Supervisor

Clark’s Original Pies 1993 - 2012

We are truly sorry to announce that Ryan Williams, our Bakery Supervisor, passed away on 22 January 2012. Ryan started at Clark’s Original Pies as a Bakery Assistant in 1993 and was promoted to the position of Bakery Supervisor in 2007.

Ryan was a respected and trusted employee of Clark’s Original Pies and he has been sadly missed over the past months of his illness and he will continue to be missed by all of us.

During Ryan’s 19 years of service with us, he demonstrated dedication and devotion to Clark’s Pies. Ryan was hard-working and had an admirable approach to fairness that was reflected in his approach to his work. He was respected by colleagues, business associates and competitors alike. He loved to exchange banter with colleagues and business contacts, sharing jokes and thoughts on sport. Ryan took a huge pride in his work especially the quality of his pastry, even to the extent that, during his illness he often texted and phoned us with ideas and pointers that he would have normally taken care of for us. Ryan has been a tremendous support to the Company over the years and his particular notable achievements include:

· Playing a key part in the development of our Food Safety System and maintaining standards in the bakery that resulted in Clark’s Original Pies’ achieving the highest possible score of 5 in the Cardiff City Council’s Scores on the Doors scheme

· Development of new flavour pies introduced during 2011

· Assisting annual audits for Compass to enable Clark’s Original Pies’ continued supply of pies to the Cardiff City Stadium.

And ever loyal to keeping the Clark’s Pie secret recipe - when Ryan was asked what the secret ingredient is for Clark’s Pies, he would smile his cheeky grin and reply “Luurrvvve”!

On behalf of Dennis Dutch, Beverley Pemberton, Amanda Rosoman and Ryan’s work mates at Clark’s Original Pies, we would like to express our deepest condolences to Ryan’s wife Sian, Mum Angie and all of his family. We feel privileged to have known and worked with him.
